RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DONOR, SERVICE PROVIDER AND CLIENT

Quality Agreement

Donations earmarked for specific causes require explicit quality agreements. In a team effort between you as the donor, our clients and the Spielzeit staff, we base these agreements on the following directives: What are the potentials of an individual child or project? Insofar, which goals are to be effectuated through the realization of these potentials?

Quality agreements arise from the answers to these questions, building the cornerstone of Spielzeit’s ‘relationship’ with you. Of course, any agreement is subject to MLI’s approval to direct funds to a specific project or the therapy of an individual child (MLI provides Spielzeit’s sponsorship).

SponsorUs Sponsorships

In accordance with laws governing therapist-patient privileges, Spielzeit staff determines the need for sponsorships, submitting requests to MLI. Pending review of a family’s financial needs or insufficient insurance coverage, requests may be granted. MLI will subsequently cover the therapy costs through your donations. As a sponsor, you will receive regular progress reports detailing “your” child’s development using a fictitious name. Consequently, you can continuously track the specific allocation of your donations and the subsequent therapeutic results.

Quality: An Opportunity

Our efforts allow for a unique system that treats all sponsorships, donations or grants as separate entities. General and specific contributions alike are clearly described in MLI’s annual report. Each sponsorship builds a separate cost unit in the annual budget and earnings statement. In this manner, each expenditure is clearly accounted for and transparent to the donors. If the cost unit of a sponsorship carries a surplus at the end of the therapy year, the sponsor is refunded the surplus amount.

Our thorough financial and therapeutic documentation assure the quality of this system. Quality assurance involves goal definition, timing of quality assurance, provisions for resources, and specific stipulations regarding financial account files, including documentation of the psychotherapeutic treatment courses.
